Play Ground #2
Emma and I went to another play ground today. We went to Joseph Hood Recreation Ground. A huge park with two play areas on the opposite corners of this gigantic field. We went to the first playground and was very disappointed. If was for older kids, nothing Emma could really use, the slide she could get to and the climbing gym was too advanced. So we decided to make the trek to the other playground. Emma chased birds about halfway across the field and then ran out of steam. I put her in the stroller and we finished the walk. Hurray...a better play ground. Tiny climbing gym that led to a small slide. A bouncing horse and hippo, swings, and a small version of a merry-go-round.
Creche'
Emma had her first day of Creche, french for day care. She had a great time. How do I know, well I had to stay there, just in case. I sat in the corner trying not to draw her attention, while she pulled all the dollies out of there cots and played pretend in the kid kitchen. Then she would go over to the play dough table or build with the blocks. What she like most was the painting she got to do. Emma even participated in sing time. She had her water and snack, and then it was time to go. Of course leaving that great place was not easy and she did not want to go. And in the end she played so much she fell sound asleep on the way home.

Play Grounds
Emma and I have decided that we are going to try out all the 39 recreation grounds or otherwise know as play grounds, before we leave the UK. These 39 are of course the play areas that are located in our county. Today we went to our first one, Cottingham Gardens. It was nice, however a little big for Emma. However that did not stop Emma from wanting to try out all the slides, it just meant mommy went with her. Great big sand pit, where she made plenty of friends.

Lazy Weekend
I guess we can't always be on the go every weekend, we would probably be exhausted. Lucky for us this weekend was really stormy so we were able to relax and lounge around. We did a little exploring and found a small farmers market, however because of the rain many vendors were not out, so that was a bit of a bummer. We however found another shopping center and big supermarket, Sainsbury. That Sunday we had some fun in doors playing in a box and jumping on daddy. We have not received our household goods from the container ship yet, so we find everything and anything to play with. Emma will be so happy when all her toys arrive. I was even able to leave Emma and daddy and get some mommy time in. I was able to go to the indoor pool for some swimming.

Kew Gardens
We spent a lovely warm Saturday in the Royal Gardens, Kew Gardens. It was a wonderful gorgeous day out. Emma was able to run all over the place so we just let her lead us around. The garden grounds are huge and we did not even cover half. So we will definitely be going back. We even went to the kids area, where we got to explore the vegetable garden and Emma got to do alittle planting of her own. To finish off the afternoon we had some ice cream for the ride home.
